Playing in the Snow

Yesterday we got our first (and hopefully last, but that's just wishful thinking on my part) snowfall of the season. I was only supposed to be an inch, but it was at least a foot. Well, maybe six inches...or more like four. Yes, four inches. Definitely 3 inches. That might not seem like much to you New Englanders or Minnesotans, but did you not read yesterday's post? I was traumatized at an early age. Trauma, I tell you. And that was back when they were still testing Prozac on lab mice.

Anyway, for this week's Dogs on Thursday, I wanted to take some pictures of Emma and Tara in the hateful snow. So, this morning before I bravely drove myself(!!!) to work, I snapped these pictures in the backyard. You will have to trust me that those blurry figures are really Emma and Tara. They love the snow. Why wouldn't they - they don't have to drive in it! They run around it in like they're being chased by demons.

Silly, silly girls!

lol, you made me stop and go "OMG - is it really THURSDAY?"... lol... but I see you're just a tad early on your post! Cute pics!

LOL, I see the post changed... ha ha! You're sneaky!
Cute pics... our kids all love dashing in the snow too, even Sophie now! At first she wouldn't go out the door - now she wants you to run and romp in it with her!

I was so happy to see the snow! I love it and no, I don't drive unless I have to. Everything is so quiet when it's snowing and it looks pretty. My fondest memory (actually my only good memory) of the dog from hell that we adopted from the pound, is of her bounding through the snow in the back yard. All the other memories have been blocked from my head (it was not a good experience)

"Yay! Cold stuff to track in the house and shake on Mama! Wahoo!" A change of pace from Rufus, who takes one look and crawls back into the haystack.

Beautiful white stuff, I love it. But then I can walk to work, so I can understand how you feel. The pups look like they are having great fun!

Chased by demons...hilarious. Thanks for the pics and for posting my my blog about my pooch and her supreme adoration for the snow.

Emma and Tara have the right idea! I love the snow and don't mind driving in it. You were very brave to drive yourself! And we finally got our first snowfall on Thursday - yay! Abbie and Chloe love it too but when thewy come in, they head straight to their warm blankets and burrow in.
