Next Stop: Whineyville

::Whining Alert::

I should be on a train. Right now. I want to go to the Sock Summit soooo baaaaad. An airplane is not an option, so I should already be on a train in order to make it to Portland, Oregon by Thursday. I know I'm fortunate to have family, and three of the most goofy but wonderful dogs ever, and a job, and a home, and it's not like I'm the kind of person who has to "have it all" but a little bit more would be great. Not a lot. Just enough to get me to Oregon and back, plus hotel, plus Sock Summit registration, plus meals, plus an enormous yarn/book/souvenir allowance would be just about right.

If we ever have an event here that you'd like to attend, you can save the hotel and meals and stay with us. That'll leave more for spending on goodies.

See, I just don't want to leave my silly, sweet girls, not even for Sock Summit!

Seeing your title reminded me of a sign a friend of mine had in her kitchen. It always made me laugh. It looked like this:

Don't forget to spurge on a humongous climate-controlled yarn storage unit!

I've been to Whineyville, too! Only not for the sock summit, but for Stitches Midwest. Wahhhhhhhh.

Okay, I'm finished. Maybe SS for you and SM for me next year.

How fun would it be to make that trip?! Sorry you didn't get to go...you are one of the most deserving people that I know. I think we should start a campaign now.
