Next up is a sweater for my niece Lexi who turned one year old this month.The pattern is called "Lacy Sweater" from Zoe Mellor. It's a fun knit, after you get done the edging at the bottom. That edging seems like it just goes on forever and ever and ever and ever...
Even though this next picture is kind of dark, I think baby knits always look better when modeled by the much-loved baby!
Her mommy brought her down for a "girls day out" yesterday - just little Lexi, and Lexi's mommy, grammy, and two aunts. A good time was had by all!
Last but not least, no finished object report would be complete without a pair of socks....
...or two...
...or three.
That last pair are from the yarn that I dyed at our guild workshop last month.

That is one of the almost-complete Endpaper Mitts by Eunny Jang that I was trying to knit. No problem until I got to the cast-off. I am absolutely hopeless at trying to cast off from a stretch ribbing and have the finished product be even a teeny tiny bit flexible. I give up.
So, what will I be knitting?
Yup, more socks!

You are one talented knitter. You need some sort of baby sweater knitter award.
Try binding off with needles a couple of sizes bigger than what you used for the ribbing. It works for me...
Wow, you've been busy. Love the baby sweater and it looks like Lexi does,too. The kitty beds look warm and snuggly and they can play with the fringe if they can't sleep.
That baby sweater is adorable...and the baby is beyond precious. I love that color on her.

Lexi is too cute!!! And the kitties are loving the beds. I've been setting them up with the kittens still waiting to clear and Sue is right on - when not sleeping, they're wrestling with the fringe. :) I'll add a picture to my blog soon.

If you can graft a toe closed (which clearly you can) then you can do a sewn bind off.
It's pretty simple - I kind of made it up as I went along for some toe-up socks I did...
Anyway, if it's just knit1-purl1 ribbing you can split the stitches between two needles and then "graft" the seam (not sooo easy in the round though)...
for the first stitch, if it's a knit, slip the yarn through as if to purl (if it's purl, then as if to knit), then look at the second stitch. If that's also a knit then thread through as if to purl (and if it's a purl as if to knit). Back to the first stitch, if it's a knit, pass the needle through as if to knit and knock it off the needle... (for purl, as if to purl) and so on.
give it a go! It's really stretchy!
That is quite a bit of sock knitting. The baby and the sweater are just adorable.

I can't believe you also whipped up 3 pairs of socks to surprise us with. The ones dyed with your yarn are my favorites!
I use Lucy Neatby's modified conventional bind off, but I've heard that a nice, stretchy bind off is to do k2tog, put the st back on the LH needle, do k2tog again, repeat across.
So many beauteous things! Such an adorable toddler in her lovely sweater. And lucky kitties! So much wooly love displayed here....

Those all look great. Have you tried the sewn bind off? It's rather like grafting a toe together. I use it on all my toe up socks.
