Adventures in Dyeing Sock Yarn Blanks, Part 2

and Dogs on Thursday!

As promised in my last post, here is a shot of the handy-dandy yarn dryer thinga-ma-bob that dad made for me a few years ago.

Cool, eh? I saw one like it at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival, came home and sketched it out, and viola! I had one of my very own! I'm telling you, I have the best dad in the world. Remember the sock yarn wall unit? How about the table that he put wheels on for my craft nook? I wish everyone could have parents like mine - the world would be a much better place. But I digress...here's a side view:

Hmmm, what's that on the corner there? Here's a close-up.Those dowels have been messed with, too.

Cooper. Cooper? COOPER! Where is that naughty boy?

A very apologetic Cooper says "Happy Dogs on Thursday".

Love the sock yarn wall! I would be afraid to put that up because everytime I bought some new yarn, hubby would walk down, look at it, and say, really, really, you really need more yarn?

I'm with Cooper - no matter how hard you try it's hard to be good all the time. What's a few teeth marks after all? g

Who knew the Coop would turn out to be such a rascal? Good thing he's so handsome.

Your dad is a rockstar of the paternal world AND the knitting gadget world!

I could use something like that to dry the handknit socks. Hmmm, I think I have to get the sketch pad out and talk to my husband. He loves a challenge.
