Good News All Around!

Thank you everyone for the good vibes that were sent our way. My nephew (a.k.a. Pitchfork Boy) is home from the hospital and doing really well. Also home is mom and dad's sweet cat Sara. The results of her bloodwork show that she has Graves Disease. This is the better of the two things our wonder-vet was suspecting, so we are all thrilled with this diagnosis.

As soon as Emma, Tara and Cooper heard that their cousin Sara was home from her overnight stay at the Vee-Eee-Tee, they sent us to the grocery store to buy all of Sara's favorite things. Here is Sara supervising the unpacking of her "goodies":

Yum! Salmon, Tuna, and Shrimp!!! Sara is saying "Hurry up Mommy - I haven't felt like eating in days and days, but I'm so excited about my shrimp!!!"

Yum, yum, yum. Gotta love shrimp!
You might notice that Sara (all four pounds of her!) is sitting on the kitchen counter eating her shrimp. Sara is never allowed on the counter. Never! Counters and tables are strictly off limits. If dad sees Sara on the counter, he'll look at her and say "CAT....get down" and Sara jumps right down. Hey - no one questions my dad! Well, guess who lifted her up and put her on the counter? Dad! That just shows how close they were to losing this sweet girl.

Tears... Sweet! I hope Sara is soon healthy enough that she's eating in the floor again. The more I hear about your father, the more he reminds me of mine.

That Sara is sure lucky to have some fresh shrimp! I'm glad my cat doesn't see me reading this-he'd be sooooo jealous.

I took time away from my blog reading when I was home with Jakob, so I didn't see your posts before today. I'm so glad Pitchfork Boy is doing ok! Infections are dangerous, but you've gotta love the power of distraction!

Oh my goodness she is tiny. I am so glad to hear that the excitment in your family is done. Think dull thoughts.

Give extra hugs to both patients for me! I need to check in more often... Glad to hear the good news!

I am in love with Sara - she's so cute and I love the way she sits to eat. I love your dad, too. That story reminds of something my dad would have done!

Our cat Lucy also begs for human food. She would be so jealous of Sara.
Happy to hear Sara is doing well. I'm sure Dad is happy to have her back.

OMGawsh! So glad Pitchfork Boy and Sara are both ok. I've not been able to keep up with blog reading lately so my prayers are a bit belated, but y'all have them anyway.
